A Gift of Cards

Saturday I met with a great group of ladies and we made a card holder and set of cards for them to give (or keep). The card holder is a simple one to make and holds 4 cards and envelopes – the perfect number to whip up quickly.

We used Stippled Blossoms for the cover and one of the two card designs. Recognize the leaf paper on the cover? It’s the embossed resist paper in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. We made two of these cards:

We used a variety of sentiments. Mine is from the Trust God set. It’s hard to see in the picture, but the white card base is embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

Stippled blossom is a two-step stamp set, meaning you stamp the solid image in a lighter color and then the detail in a darker color. On the second card design, we used the Lotus Blossom stamp. This is actually a three-step stamp. It’s also photopolymer, which makes it much easier to line up. The stamps even have a little arrow on them to help you line the images up correctly.

Here are the cards inside the holder.

Want to make a card holder like this? Check back tomorrow – I’ll be posting the instructions.
