More cards for the troops

This past Saturday, a great group of ladies met at my house to make cards for the troops. I will be sending the cards to Operation Write Home (OWH), an awesome organization that collects, sorts and sends the cards to our troops stationed at military bases all over the world. Our brave men and women in uniform can pick out the cards they want and send them home to their friends and loved ones. If you are interested in helping this great cause, please check out their website. They have sent out several million cards and counting, and we are so happy to be a small part of this effort.

I still have some processing to do before I mail the cards off, but I thought you might like to see some of the cards we made.

Iguanastamp! Cards for Operation Write Home

This cute little card might be my favorite. It features the Stampin’ Up For the Birds stamp set. It’s hard to see in the picture, but the background papers have been embossed with the Alphabet Press embossing folder. I thought it was clever – letters and a mailbox. 😉 We also used some of the wider striped ribbon that is retired, but will be making a comeback in the new catalog (yay!)

I will try to post some more of the cards tomorrow. Thanks so much to Geraldine, Marlen, Sophie and Shanon for all your help! You ladies rock!
