January is National Crafting Month and one of the challenges for the Creative Crew was to use your stamping supplies to create a project that wasn’t a card or a scrapbook page. I used the new Fancy Foil dsp to create the candle holders below. These are wine goblets covered with paper – the shorter glass is covered with the new Fancy Foil dsp. The other is covered with regular paper. They’re kind of cute in the daylight, but in the evening they look really elegant once you light the tea candle inside. To cut the paper shapes, I used one of the oval framelits (for the taller glass) and a framelit from the Apothecary Accents set for the shorter one. The inset shows one of the candles lit.
I got the goblets from the Goodwill for 69 cents each. The best ones are the ones with the most interesting stems. It would also be a great way to use one of your mismatched wine glasses. I love repurposing items I find when I’m thrifting. 🙂
