Ok, I did it – I bought my first set of polyphotomer stamps from Stampin’ Up. I am wary of clear stamps as I’ve had some from other companies that weren’t that great. But I love the Endless Wishes set from SU! I like the combination of phrases that you can mix and match to create your Christmas cards.
This card is based off an idea I saw on the net (don’t remember who, but I will try to find and post it here) that used an older stamp set with snowflakes. To make the card, I masked off a rectangle in the middle and then sponged it with Tempting Turquoise and Night of Navy. Then before I removed the mask, I spritzed it with a shimmer spray. You can make your own shimmer spray with rubbing alcohol and the shimmer paint currently on the Clearance Rack.
After removing the mask, I stamped the snowflakes and the saying and drew the lines around the focal point. I think it makes a very interesting CAS card. I like it so much, I may just add it to the cards we are making at the Christmas Card Blitz class tomorrow. Have you RSVP’d? Today’s the last day – email me if you’d like to join us.
