World Card Making Day

Yesterday was World Card Making Day. I hope you got a chance to do something creative. We spent the afternoon making cards for the troops. Here are the first 50 cards. There are another 20 that are almost done. I will finish them up in the next couple of days and send them to Operation Write Home. This great organization sorts all the hand-made cards that get sent to them and then ships them out to different units all over the world. The troops get to pick the cards they want, write a note in them, and send them back home to friends and loved ones. I think this is such a wonderful opportunity to do something to support our troops. I know it means a lot to them that people back home took time out from their day to make something for them.

Tomorrow I’ll post some close ups of the individual cards.
