Tonight was the first night of our new hostess club. For this meeting, I decided to go with a couple of projects instead of cards, but we will be mixing it up in future meetings. The focus was on using up scraps of paper – something I have a LOT of! We made a cute little notepad with cover based on the service project I did at the Stampin Up Convention in July. We also made a gift bag out of two matching, full-size sheets of designer paper. There are tutorials all over the net on how to do this. The one by Jackie Boulhis is one of the better videos I have seen. It’s really not hard at all, but it helps to see the video to get a better understanding. (sorry – I am unable to get the YouTube URL in at this time).
Interested in joining the club? We can still add a couple more members. If you’re not sure about it, you can try it once without commitment. Just come to class and pay the $15 class fee, which will be waived if you order $25 or more. Each member gets a turn at being the host or hostess and getting the hostess benefits. And we’ll do 2-3 projects at each club. And next month we have a special treat – a guest instructor! Email me if you’d like more information.
