Final Cards from the Retirement Party

Two more days to buy off the retiring list! I’ve been a little late posting these last two cards from the Retirement Party. The first is based off this card by Shana Gaff. It’s a little scaled down from hers, though it’s basically the same card. I did make a happy discovery about the chevron embossing folder. The folder is oriented for a landscape card and doesn’t quite cover the card completely for a portrait card. But if you are careful, you can run the folder through twice, lining up the final row or two of the pattern on the second pass.

Stampin' Up! Up, up & Away
Stamp set: Up, Up & Away
Paper: Real Red, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Stazon Black
Accessories: Daffodil Delight satin ribbon

The next card is based off of this one by Teneale Williams. I just love her work. Onces I changed it from the longer, thinner shape she used, there wasn’t room for the black and white striped ribbon. I would like to make it again and match hers exactly – I think it’s such a great card. Anyway, here is the version we made:

Stampin' Up! Aviary

Stamp sets: Aviary and Word Play
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Basic Black, Paisley Petals
Ink: Baja Breeze, Stazon Black
Accessories: White Baker’s Twine
