Swallowtail Stamp

swallowtailThe Swallowtail stamp in the Stampin’ Up! spring catalog is such a great stamp! It’s a background stamp, but it’s so versatile. There are dozens of samples on Pinteest done so many different ways. You can emboss it and then use sponges to color it with inks, or use reinkers and a blender pen or aqua painter.  It’s large, so depending on the size of your card, you may not be able to fit the whole image on your paper, but it’s interesting done on an angle showing only part of the image.

You can also do it simply, like I did below – this works great for a Clean and Simple (CAS) card. What do you think?Stampin' Up! Swallowtail

I love this swallowtail stamp and would love to stamp and color it in shades of green & yellow!

  2. love the way you did the Swallowtail…..it’s huge but when you angle like that and drawn the border lines around it it looks like the perfect fit!
